New course offerings focus on executive agility and CX
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August, 2021
DENVER – The Cable Center released today its 2022 Intrapreneurship Academy course catalog centered on high-impact intrapreneurship and leadership development in the connectivity and content industry. After a year of tremendous momentum, Intrapreneurship Academy expands its current high-engagement, results-driven professional development courses – Driving Innovation and Leading with Agility – with two additional learning opportunities that prepare leaders for impact: Leading with Agility: Executive Intensive and Leveraging Customer Experience.
A 2021 Intrapreneurship Academy survey with C2HR reveals that while 58 percent of people leaders note that the way their organization operates has changed significantly, only 24 percent of HR professionals believe their leaders are prepared with the necessary skills to respond.
Jana Henthorn, president and chief executive officer of The Cable Center, states that Intrapreneurship Academy fills an industry need. “For the connectivity and content industry to continue to grow and thrive we must empower our bold thinkers. They’re looking for a place and a forum to ask questions and get resources so that they can return to their organizations and act as intrapreneurs. Intrapreneurship Academy is that place. Our graduates are flourishing, creating value, and making measurable impact.”
Investment in employee innovation capabilities pays off in multiple ways: It stimulates regular innovative behaviors that become entrenched in culture, retains high performers, and encourages continuous innovation. Henthorn believes that people leaders hold a prime position to stimulate organizational growth and engage talent in the process. “To effectively seize internal innovation opportunities, people leaders must harness the intrapreneurial talents in their teams to equip them with the tools, capabilities, processes, and mindsets to successfully advance corporate innovation.”
Intrapreneurial Skills Recognized as Indispensable
Intrapreneurship consistently ranks high on Michael Page’s top skills list. “Intrapreneurial skills include behaviors such as innovating from within, having an ownership mentality, being agile when conditions or situations change, and maintaining a customer-first approach whether your customers are internal or external,” explains Diane Christman, senior vice president and chief program officer of The Cable Center. “Through this lens, we develop Intrapreneurship Academy courses that build these skills.”
Intrapreneurship Academy 2022 Course Catalog
8-week courses:
- Driving Innovation teaches the process, skills, and mindset to innovate from within. Participants advance a real-world project with each weekly module, adding immediate value to an organization.
- Leading with Agility prepares leaders to quickly adapt, and often find opportunity, when situations unexpectedly change. Organizations are a human system, and people from all parts of the organization need to be prepared to flex and adapt as conditions change.
- New! Leveraging Customer Experience helps learners develop creative and innovative solutions to the challenges of designing and delivering on the customer experience promise.
1 and 1/2-day course:
- New! Leading with Agility: Executive Intensive brings senior level executives together to navigate business, team, and organizational agility strategy and best practices. Effectively responding to unplanned change requires a culture of agility from the top.
ROI: Return on Intrapreneurship
Since 2017, Intrapreneurship Academy has helped participants from 26 industry organizations build intrapreneurial skills. More than 200 graduates represent functions across their companies including HR, sales, engineering, software development, operations, marketing, finance, and dozens more.
Driving Innovation graduate Jeremy Meissner, principal engineer II, Charter Spectrum, began his course project with a problem. As he proceeded through the steps of the innovation process, a solution emerged that ultimately resulted in a patent for himself and the company. “Intrapreneurship Academy provided me with tools I still use today in developing and architecting solutions for my company. It also helped me hone my current skills, including how to talk to colleagues clearly and get them involved in finding the best solution.”
Presale rates for 2022 Intrapreneurship Academy courses are now available through October 1, 2021. For more details on dates and courses, and to make a reservation, https://intrapreneurshipacademy.org/reservenow.
